Each round of questions is on a specific topic

Rounds are played in pairs, with a break between every pair

A "joker" is available to each team to get double points in a nominated round (2 jokers in an 8-round quiz)

A pair of rounds takes about half an hour so a 6-round event lasts about 2.5 hours & an 8-round function about 3.5 hours
